Laura Sinkman, LCSW
Overview
Laura Sinkman is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of New York. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University and her Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University School of Social Work. While at Columbia, Ms. Sinkman trained in the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy program. Ms. Sinkman completed postgraduate training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the William Alanson White Institute.
At Columbia, Ms. Sinkman provides direct care to patients in individual and group psychotherapy using psychodynamic, relational, cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based approaches. Ms. Sinkman has a special interest in working to support patients with life transitions, early adult development, lifespan development and perinatal mood and anxiety issues.
