Programs

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is committed to improving the health outcomes of the patients we serve. Our team of faculty, trainees, and staff support programs including:

Maternal and Child Integrated Mental Health Program (MAC-IMP)

In collaboration with NewYork-Presbyterian, we offer a portfolio of programs designed to improve health, development, and wellness outcomes for the maternal-infant dyad, including the HealthySteps program. As part of our community service plan to improve maternal-infant health, we also facilitate access to postpartum doulas and mental health support alongside our community health worker partners.

Virtual Prenatal Education Classes

The Department of Ob/Gyn hosts doula-led, virtual prenatal education classes in Spanish and English. These classes cover topics such as what to expect from birth through the postpartum period and strategies for communicating your needs during birth. Enrollment is open to all patients delivering at NYP/Columbia, NYP Allen, NYP Westchester, and NYP Hudson Valley.

Postpartum Drop-In Groups

The Department of Ob/Gyn hosts weekly Postpartum Drop-In Groups to hold space for postpartum patients who would like to connect with others, gain support, and ask questions related to the postpartum period. These groups are hosted by clinicians, mental health providers, and patient’s peers.

Title X Family Planning Practice

Our Title X Family Planning Practice provides high-quality, trauma-informed family planning care to all patients, including underinsured and uninsured populations. At the clinic, the care team offers a broad range of family planning services, from evaluating options for contraception to managing miscarriage.
